When Cabin Fever Goes too Far.

We have been gathering together all Winter.  We had the holidays with “mandatory” parties to attend be it with family or not.  Winter in Northeast Ohio can and does test our patience.  Remember the good old days…two equally matched people would fight, shake hands, and go their separate ways.  Nowadays the police are getting involved more and more.

These incidences often occur between two or more people who are/were close friends and things just got out of hand.  Know this…if the cops are involved somebody is probably getting hauled off to jail.  When the “dust settles” you have a situation that demands a good assault defense lawyer right away.

Since these events have a way of generally occurring late into the night make sure that you are calling someone you can reach quickly.  That person is Akron, Ohio assault and battery defense attorney Jon Sinn.  It is no sin to lose your temper, but it is a sin not to call John to help you or a loved one out of a tough situation.  Call or TEXT attorney Jon Sinn at (303) 431-0160

What is Judicial Release in Ohio?

It may seem obvious, but its consequences are far-reaching for the family of the incarcerated.
Release from prison is granted by a judge who sentences convicted criminals.  If a judge wishes to do so he or she may grant judicial release or “shock probation” as it used to be known.  The offender may be placed in a furlough program.

Each individual is left up to the sentencing judge.  There are many extenuating factors to be considered.  Not the least of which is the behavior of the person while they were incarcerated.  You also must factor in the attitude and the history of the particular judge that you are dealing with in this very delicate matter.

All of which leads us to understand that you need a top attorney to plea your loved one’s case.  That is when you pick up the phone and call Ohio judicial release attorney Jon Sinn.  He has had decades of experience arguing this matter before Northeast Ohio judges.  The only sin is not calling today for a free consultation with Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.

Slow Down and Pull Over.

These are dreaded words that we never want to hear while we are driving.  It may happen to the best of us any time…guilty or innocent.  All of a sudden you glance in your rear view mirror and there they are - those nasty red and blue flashing lights.  It could be something as innocuous as you simply forgot to signal when changing lanes.

Whatever the case it is vitally important to keep your cool.  If in fact you are cited for going over the speed limit there are two steps to follow.  First of all, don’t bother to start an argument on the scene…that will never go well!  Secondly, do NOT just systematically pay the fine even if you believe that you were speeding.

Take a breath and when you get home (or even before) place a phone call to Jon Sinn.  Jon is a Northeast Ohio attorney who has been fighting speeding tickets for years.  The consequences could be severe if you don’t take the matter seriously.  The only sin is not calling Jon.  Jon Sinn at his office located in Akron at (330) 431-0160.

Drug Penalties in Ohio.

It’s a brand new year and we just made it through another holiday season.  We don’t want to start out 2017 with some scare tactic, but we do want you to be aware of the consequences of drug possession and trafficking in the Buckeye State.  Penalties may be severe including large fines and YEARS, not months of prison for certain convictions.

If you were not aware, the federal government may get involved in prosecuting some drug cases and take it out of the hands of the state.  In some cases handling drugs is a misdemeanor, but it could be a felony and it becomes very confusing.  For example, a first degree drug felony conviction can result in up to eleven years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000!

An individual who is found guilty of holding or selling drugs in Ohio will have their life altered forever.  If, heaven forbid, you or a loved one is charged with a drug crime of ANY kind in the state do not hesitate.  Call Jon Sinn immediately.  Attorney Sinn has successfully defended drug charges in Ohio for decades.  Wherever you are in Northeast Ohio the only sin is not calling or texting Jon at (330) 431-0160.

Holiday Gathers of Good People.

You have heard it before, sometimes “bad things happen to good people”.  Good people are all around this holiday season.  We hope that you and yours are having the best holiday of a lifetime.  No one wants to even think about the spiral of events that would occur of one of the good people in your family were accused of a crime.

Not to alarm you, but so many things can go wrong, such as an OVI charge in Ohio.  Maybe you or someone you love gets arrested for holding illegal narcotics.  You could even be in the wrong place at the wrong time during a homicide or a robbery.  Maybe your record is spotless, but now you are the prime suspect and you need aggressive defense.

Northeast Ohio criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn has spent the last two plus decades navigating the justice system of the Buckeye State.  If something happens to one of the “good people” that you know in Portage or Summit County, Ohio, Jon Sinn will be there to represent them.  In 2017 the only sin is NOT calling Jon…Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.

Marijuana and The Election.

We are all looking at the 2016 election as one of the most impactful of all time.  Besides the obvious, the decisions that were made about the future of marijuana use in this country were ground-breaking.  Some states legalized its recreational use while others made it available with a doctor’s note.  Whatever the case we are getting closer and closer to the legalization of this controversial drug.

Marijuana has different effects on individuals.  Some people may lose their focus and others report a heightened awareness of their senses.  Did you know that there are more than 400 chemicals in the average marijuana plant?  When it is smoked the heat from that procedure produces even more of them!  This is not meant to scare you, but to remind you that Ohio has not made marijuana use legal…yet.

In changing times such as these it is comforting to know that if you are busted for pot there is a lawyer in Northeast Ohio that will fight for you.  Attorney Jon Sinn is a proud member of the National Association for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.  Do not take a marijuana arrest lightly.  The only sin would be NOT to call John…Ohio weed attorney Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.

Using a Handgun in Self-Defense.

What happens when you are arrested for using a handgun?  IF the gun was used in a measure of self-defense the police will probably still confiscate the weapon.  They may also put you in handcuffs and haul you off to the police station.  Even when the shooting takes place late at night in your own home this is likely to occur!

The next thing that the cops will do is take your gun to ballistics to test if your bullets match those that are in the home invader that you shot.  From this point, you hope that the handgun will be returned to you when it is fully determined that this was an act of pure self-defense.  Unfortunately, it does not always go so smoothly.

If you are involved in protecting yourself and/or your property and have shot someone with a legal handgun that you own take swift action.  Call Ohio handgun defense attorney Jon Sinn.  Attorney Sinn knows that good people may sometimes be treated as if they were criminals.  He will fight for your rights in Northeast, Ohio.  The only sin is to not call Jon.  Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.
