Being Accused of a Sex Crime.

There is no infraction ripped from today’s headlines more than the subject of sex crimes.  Every accusation is taken very seriously as it should be.  We know that there are various levels of criminal activity that fall into this category, but unlike the old days of “he said, she said” this stuff really needs to be defended vigorously!

So, what about sex crimes in the state of Ohio?  First of all, rest assured that if you or a loved one has been accused you have rights.  Even if you are petrified, you must think and act calmly and immediately contact a qualified criminal defense attorney with experience in defending his clients against these allegations.

What is Judicial Release?

It is not about getting out of jail free, but it IS about getting released early from an Ohio jail.  You or a loved one may be ready for judicial release.  This can be confusing for inmates and their loved ones alike.  Let’s take a look at how this potentially life-changing event works in the Buckeye State.

Check for eligibility.  Does the defender qualify for judicial release at this time?  If the term of incarceration is less than 2 years, you may be able to file as soon as 30 days.  If that term is between 2 and 5 years you will probably have to wait 6 months into the term.  Those periods increase dramatically with sentences of 5 years or more.

This is a very technical procedure and you need a criminal attorney that you can trust fighting for your side.  The answer in the Akron area and throughout Northeast Ohio may be Jon Sinn.  Attorney Sinn is someone you can trust to fight for judicial release.  The only sin you may have committed is NOT calling Jon.  Do it today at (330) 431-0160.
