Drunk Driving in Ohio…What to Expect.

More than 20,000 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third of all traffic-related deaths in the U.S. in the latest reporting period.  That is according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but this has declined over the last three decades as laws have gotten tougher and tougher.

On average, first-time offenders should expect to spend a minimum of one day in jail, while those who are convicted of their second offense should anticipate at least 21 days in prison if found guilty.  The State of Ohio takes all drunk driving very seriously, beginning with the first offense. If you’re convicted you may face a variety of administrative and criminal penalties, including but not limited to fines, a suspended or revoked license, and vehicle impoundment.  .

In many cases, people are arrested for DUI in the state of Ohio and are left to fend for themselves accepting whatever punishment the courts dole out.  That is NOT the case when you hire Akron DUI defense attorney Jon Sinn.  Sometimes the only sin you may have committed is NOT calling Jon.  Attorney Jon Sinn…call him anytime at (330) 431-0160.
