Physical Control.

This is not a football term that applies to Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns.  I know that we admire his steely-eyed coolness in the pocket, but in this case, it deals with being in a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs with one exception…physical control does not require that the vehicle have ever been driven or even started.

Here is a good example…you stagger out of the tavern and decide to “sleep it off” in your vehicle.  Maybe you decided to start the car, either to run the air conditioner or the heater, so the vehicle is actually running, then you drift off.  But make no mistake about it, you don’t even need to have the car running or even have the keys in the ignition in order to be in violation.

You may think that you have done the right thing…the safe thing!  Ohio law enforcement may think otherwise!  Akron DUI attorney Jon Sinn knows the angst that you are going through.  He is one of Ohio’s premier OVI lawyers.  Sometimes the only sin you may have committed is NOT calling Jon.  That’s Ohio DUI attorney Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.
