Felony Drug Conviction.

Start with this premise…if you or a loved one is convicted of a felony drug offense in the state of Ohio, it will include possible prison time! No one should ever take those risks. However, if you, or someone you care about is arrested on a felony drug charge, then you should immediately call Akron criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn.

Obviously, prison time depends on the type and the quantity. This is not a defense…saying you were oblivious to the fact that there were drugs in your possession - a car, an apartment, your person. An individual may even be experiencing drug addiction, but that seldom matters to your potential felony charge.

Felony drug conviction lawyer Jon Sinn has seen many different types of drug possession in the Buckeye State throughout the years. Last century he even was on the prosecuting side. Now that's a “world view”! If you have been arrested on a felony drug charge in Ohio, please contact Akron criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160. His website is sinnlaw.com.

The High Points of Weed in Ohio.

Let’s start with this…possession of marijuana is illegal in Ohio.  Ohio residents seem to be strongly in favor of legalizing medicinal marijuana, right now, nothing it is expected to be approved by the legislature.  Even if medicinal marijuana were made legal according to Ohio state law, it would still be illegal under federal law.

So, what are the penalties for marijuana possession in Ohio?  They are some of the most lenient in the country when it comes to personal use.  As long as you possess 100 grams or less, Ohio marijuana possession does not even go on your criminal record.  However, this leniency does not carry through to cases of marijuana distribution or for possession of amounts over 100 grams.

Don’t take an arrest for marijuana possession and distribution lightly!  Someday, Ohio residents may be able to do just that.  Right now, if you have been arrested on a marijuana charge, immediately call on the aggressive defense of Akron Ohio criminal attorney Jon Sinn.  Sometimes the only sin you may have committed is NOT calling Jon at (330) 431-0160.

Fentanyl and Cocaine…A Deadly Cocktail.

Thousands of Ohio residents have died in recent years because of the introduction of fentanyl into the already prevalent supply of cocaine.  In 2017, cocaine-fentanyl mixtures killed more people than heroin-fentanyl combinations.  This deadly cocaine-fentanyl pattern continued in 2018 and shows no sign of ameliorating.

Fentanyl (an opiate) is not a natural, mass scale adulterant for cocaine which is a stimulant.  Fentanyl adulteration of the cocaine supply is occurring here, at the bottom of the supply chain, at the level of local dealers, street dealers and even users.  Make no mistake about it…The Buckeye State has a fentanyl problem.

That DOES NOT mean that you are guilty if you have been arrested on a charge of possessing or distributing cocaine or fentanyl!  I am here to make sure that you are aggressively represented in Ohio Criminal Court.  My name is Jon Sinn an Akron criminal lawyer.  Many times, the only sin you may have committed is NOT calling me…attorney Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.
