Have you ever heard of this University of Akron
student? He was a sophomore when he and
Edward Davis of Akron were charged with attempted murder, felonious assault and
carrying a concealed weapon. The University
of Akron basketball player was accused of firing shots at police officers
during a traffic stop. Then guns and
masks were found in a van.
For starters, the bond was set at one million dollars! His grandmother pleaded that the public
reserve judgement until all of the facts were in. When an Akron prosecutor said that there were
a total of five guns and two ski masks found inside a 1997 Dodge Caravan that
belonged to Brooks following his arrest the task became particularly daunting.
One of the first things that the Brooks family did was to
hire Akron area criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn. Jon has had decades both prosecuting and
defending accused criminals in the State of Ohio. Maybe the only sin that Rydell Brooks
committed would have been not calling Jon.
Find out more about this case, and perhaps yours by calling Jon Sinn at
