Both Sides of the Aisle.

This is a phrase that you hear mostly in politics, but in the law, it can have a great deal of meaning. When a lawyer has learned his craft as a prosecutor, then moved into defending people who are accused of crimes, it can be a powerful advantage. Akron criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn is just such a defender of your rights.

It all began in the 1990’s when attorney Sinn went to work for the Summit County Prosecutor’s office and quickly climbed the ladder of success. As the new century dawned, Jon saw that many of the type of people he once prosecuted needed a vigorous defense. So, he switched sides (so to speak) and became a top defense lawyer.

Today, Akron criminal defense lawyer Jon Sinn has honed his craft and is now respected throughout the state of Ohio as a powerfully successful defense attorney. See some of his success stories and the types of law he defends at sinnlaw.com. When you need solid representation in 2023 call criminal defense attorney Jon Sinn at (330) 431-0160.

Can a Person Under Disability Carry a Gun in Ohio?

There are certain qualifications that prevent millions of American (including Ohioans) from owning a gun. In Ohio, the state calls these disabling conditions. We may start with this…the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, gives American citizens the right to own and carry a firearm, subject to certain limitations.

However, it is noted here that Ohio law restricts the possession of a gun when a disabling condition exists on the part of the possessor. So what can we derive from that? What does having weapons while under disability mean? It simply means the defendant possessed a weapon, despite being prohibited from doing so.

If you or a loved one received a charge for having weapons while under disability, immediately call Akron Weapons Defense lawyer Jon Sinn. Attorney Sinn will look at every aspect of your charge and fight it vigorously. Count on Akron defense attorney Jon Sinn to rationally sort things out by calling (330) 431-0160. You will see him on the web at sinnlaw.com.

It’s Just Weed.

These days, that is like saying “it is just betting on sports”…right? Eventually, in the state of Ohio, things will change. For sports betting it is next year that the Buckeye state will get in “line” with many other ones in legalized sports betting. Akron drug defense attorney Jon Sinn knows that marijuana’s time is coming!

Here are some of the marijuana possession penalties currently in Ohio –

1. Up to 100 grams is a minor misdemeanor.

2. Jumping to 200-1000 grams now you have yourself a felony.

3. If you have 40,000 grams of marijuana, you could be looking at up to 8 years in prison.
